Hello! My name is Alexander A. Badong, a Pharmacist, Project Management Professional, and an advocate for patient-centered innovations aimed at expanding access. With over 14 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales, marketing, project management, and business analysis, I enjoy working with stakeholders to build and deliver on growth and leadership strategies in healthcare, to fully realize the potential of life changing therapies and initiatives.
Currently I work at the intersection of strategy, business analytics and project management, as a Global Forecasting Manager at Boehringer Ingelheim Int. GmbH, Germany, Here I am responsible for developing strategic forecasts for pipeline assets, leading the commercial evaluation and opportunity assessment of projects and initiatives for launched brands, and reviewing bottom-up forecasts. Before this, I worked as a Project Manager at Boehringer Ingelheim Int. GmbH, a Country Marketing Lead (Oncology & Specialty Business) at Novartis AG in Ghana and as a medical representative at AstraZeneca.
I am a graduate of Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, Germany – MBA International Healthcare management, and Altis - Universita’ Cattolica Del Sacro Cuore, Italy - MSc Sustainable Global Business. I also have a Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm) Degree from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana.
Aside from my professional qualifications, I am also a certified Agile Professional (ACP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI) and have completed the ‘Leading Strategic Projects Successfully’ course from the University of Cambridge - Judge Business School. I am the recipient of several awards, including of BI-X Fast-Forward Gold award for the concept of Artificial Patients for Controlled arm ‘AP4C’ and the Beyond R&D Innovation Award from Boehringer Ingelheim.
